Looking for a safe alternative to anabolic steroids...

It's been a while since we emailed each other. Anyway, I wanted to let you know my progress with Tongkat Ali. I had conducted a before and after test using your Tongkat Ali 1:50 extract capsules.

Things you might need to know about me:
       I am a 22 year old male
       I tested for my free testosterone levels via saliva samples using "AndroCheck" saliva testing kit
       I also tested for additional hormones such as DHEA, etc
       I have attached the lab results for you to view. (Editors Note - see Marvin's test results here)

I was on Tongkat Ali for four weeks, and I was taking about 8-10 capsules of the 400mg Tongkat Ali a day.

My Testosterone was already above average before I started Tongkat Ali as seen in the Jan. 2 lab results, but my DHEA levels were really low. Dr. Cohen of "AndroCheck" told me I had low DHEA levels. But, after four weeks as seen in the Feb 6 test result my DHEA level rose significantly. I believe this is very important since DHEA is a precursor hormone to testosterone. I believe if I continue using Tongkat Ali that my testosterone levels would further increase. I will conduct more saliva sample tests in the future and keep you up to date and send you those results. I am wanting to get my testosterone levels around 200 pg/ml. We'll see how continued Tongkat Ali usage changes my testosterone levels over time.

I purchased the Tongkat Ali powder from you, and I absolutely love the powder. I kinda like the bitter taste, the bitter taste isn't really a problem. The problem was measuring the powder. I was kind of lost for a while. But, one of my supplements that was in powder form had a little scoop, and on the serving size it said 1 scoop, and on the nutrition label it said 1000mg of that supplement. So I am thinking that that little scooper would in the same manner measure 1000mg of Tongkat Ali. So I've been using that scooper for my Tongkat Ali powder. I hope that I'm right on my thinking that it should amount to 1000mg Tongkat Ali extract.

Anyway, I am wanting to purchase another pack of Tongkat Ali extract asap.

Oh, and I have gained a lot of muscle mass, so my weight lifting is seeing good results. I started out at a skinny 135 lb. and now I am 170 lbs in about 20 weeks. I only train 3 times a week so I don't over do it. And then I take a 2 week break after 12 weeks of training. I just finished week #21.

I really love Tongkat Ali extract in addition to my weight training. Because everyone knows how important testosterone is to building muscle, I am surprised not a lot of people know about Tongkat Ali! Everyone knows about tribulus terrestris but tribulus terrestris is not really proven to increase testosterone... the only tests done that show good results for tribulus is from the tribulus manufacturer "Sopharma." There have been some peer reviewed tests conducted on tribulus here in America but they have not showed good results on tribulus's efficiancy. But Tongkat Ali has shown good results in various tests that were done and these were not from the Tongkat Ali sellers.

Great hearing from you.

Yes, I am very pleased with the muscle gain. Some people didn't even recognize me because I was really skinny before but am now a pretty good size. I believe Tongkat Ali helped, but of course it wasn't Tongkat Ali alone. It was the whole process... having a program of high intensity weight lifting for 3x a week, having enough rest to recover, and eating the proper amount of quality calories for muscle growth.

I am currently eating 4000 calories a day divided in 5 to 6 small meals.

But, I was happy how my DHEA levels raised. And I think that was the Tongkat Ali at work there. I was reading online about Tongkat Ali extract, and I remember reading some information for Tongkat Ali extract and it was describing how Tongkat Ali works through raising the DHEA levels.

Sure I will share my exercise routine and diet with you when I have time to write up a more in-depth email on that.

I basically try to keep all my exercise close to 1 hour because anything too long over that will be counterproductive for muscle gain. I eat 4000 calories now with proper ratio of proteins and carbs... I have vegetable juicer (The Samson extracting Juicer) and drink vegetable and fruit juices which I think is a must for any athlete...

I take *proven* supplements which I think are key, creatine, l-glutamine, vitamin c, etc. and of course Tongkat Ali for Testosterone increase, I like to think of Tongkat Ali as my steroid alternative.

Monday I work out my chest, shoulders, and triceps. Wednesday is leg day. Friday is back and biceps. I have Saturday and Sunday off. I increase weight every time I am able to lift more than the rep range I set out... e.g. Set 1 I would be lifting a weight heavy enough to bench press 6-8 reps... I would find a weight where I fail on that range, and by fail I mean that you can not possibly lift the bar forward another inch. So my bodybuilding routines are based on sound principles.

I can actually recommend good solid programs to the people who are asking about bodybuilding. One program is http://www.skinnyguy.net. I read his book and it is based on very foundational and sound bodybuilding principles which is basically what I do.
